Online Safety

At Trinity School we take online safety very seriously. As of 2014, online safety became a core component and legal requirement for the National Curriculum. As well as through our teaching of Computing, online safety is also delivered through assemblies with staff as well as guest speakers.

Below are a series of links which you may find useful with regards to how you, as parents, can help keep your child safe online.

Common Sense Media provide advice on movies, websites and apps and their suitability for children of different ages:

Being aware of what children are accessing on their devices is very important to their online safety. The following website has up to date information about parental controls. All social media apps have different privacy settings. It is important to check your privacy settings on each one.

The NSPCC website has useful information and advice on how to keep your child safe online and how to talk to them about keeping safe online. 

The NSPCC helpline is available for both young people and adults, it can be used for reporting concerns but also when seeking advice and/or information about keeping yourself and your children safe, online.
